The convoy comprises 106 vehicles loaded with approximately 1,000 tons of essential supplies, 40,000 blankets, 50,000 clothing items, and 300,000 medicine boxes, according to the channel's report.
The NACDW, which is a coalition of more than 30 associations and civil society organizations, stated that the convoy would also include medical personnel from various specialties, as well as medicine and medical equipment to provide support to the Palestinians in Gaza who have been impacted by Israel's recent actions.
The coalition has reaffirmed its unwavering solidarity and support for the Palestinian people.
The NACDW has recently initiated a blood donation campaign for the Palestinian people in cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population and the blood bank, operating under the slogan “A drop of blood equals a life.”
The NACDW, established in 2022, is dedicated to ensuring the active involvement of civil society institutions in community development and addressing their legitimate needs.
On Monday, the Decent Life Foundation in Egypt announced the availability of bank accounts for Egyptians willing to donate aid and support to the Palestinian people amid the ongoing conflict.
Egypt has organized El-Arish airport to facilitate the receipt of supplies from aid agencies and foreign governments to deliver these supplies to Gaza via the Rafah crossing.
Israel has rained air and artillery strikes on the 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaze, flattening buildings and killing more than 1,400 people.
The Israeli forces also severed food, water, and electricity supplies, putting the Palestinian territory at risk of a humanitarian catastrophe.
The Israeli blockade has exacerbated an already dire humanitarian situation in the strip, which has been under Israeli siege since 2006.
