From his side, President Erdoğan expressed appreciation for Egypt's role in coordinating humanitarian relief efforts to the Palestinians Gaza Strip and advancing the peace process.

It was the second phone conversation on the situation in Gaza between the two leaders since the start of the war between Hamas and Israel on 7 October.

Today, both leaders strongly rejected the forced displacement of Palestinians from their lands and stressed the necessity of the sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

They underlined the crucial importance of international solidarity in working toward reaching a definitive resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on the two-state solution in accordance with international legitimacy.
