According to the sources, the channel said Hamas offered a 5-day truce in exchange for releasing fewer than 100 Israeli captives or a long-term ceasefire and the release of all Palestinian detainees held in Israeli prisons, according to the sources.
On the other hand, Israel offered a ceasefire in exchange for the release of all its captives, while agreeing on a one-day ceasefire on the condition of international supervision.
The sources also noted that the talks have also made progress on a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza for hours and possibly days.
Egypt and Qatar have already mediated the release on Monday of two Israeli citizens from around 200 held by Palestinian factions.
