According to the Palestinian Interior Ministry, residential buildings in the Jabalia camp were hit by six 2,000 lb bombs.

The ministry said most of the casualties were children, adding that a final death toll has yet to be determined.

Many were rushed to nearby hospitals, while a large number of people are still trapped under the rubble, WAFA said.

Also, at least 15 people were killed when Israeli airstrikes targeted a residential building in Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.

"Dozens remain under the rubble either dead or wounded," he said.

Another airstrike hit a house in Beach refugee camp, west of Gaza City, killing at least 10 people and wounding many others, WAFA said.

Israeli airstrikes continue to hit all parts of the Gaza Strip on the 25th day of the war, although the north of the strip is bearing the brunt of the bombardment.

The strikes come amid an Israeli ground assault aiming to divide the north from the south.

Meanwhile, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continued to reject calls for a ceasefire, using biblical rhetoric to justify the conflict, which has raised concerns of ethnic cleansing according to UN reports.
