Ahly's journey in the AFL came to an end in the semifinals after a 1-0 aggregate loss to South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns.
As a result, the Red Devils' focus now shifts back to domestic competition, with only two out of five Egyptian Premier League matches played so far this season due to their involvement in the African Champions League and the AFL.
Currently occupying the 10th spot in the Egyptian League standings with six points, Ahly is keen to climb higher.
Meanwhile, Arab Contractors find themselves struggling in the relegation zone, having secured only two points from two draws despite playing five games.
Unfortunately for Ahly, they will be without the services of key players Mahmoud "Kahraba" Abdel-Moneim, who is currently serving a six-match ban, as well as midfielder Amr El-Sulaya and defender Mahmoud Metwally who are unavailable due to injuries.
Additionally, Moroccan winger Red Slim will be absent from the game as he recently underwent shoulder surgery following a serious injury sustained in the match against Sundowns on Wednesday.
It is expected that Slim will be out of action for the next three months.
Ahly, the reigning Egyptian Premier League champions, kicked off the new season in style by securing a 4-0 victory against Masry and a 3-1 win against Ismaily.
However, their focus shifted to the continental stage as they competed in the African Champions League and African Football League.
Having successfully reached the group stage of the Champions League, Ahly finds themselves drawn in Group D alongside Medeama from Ghana, Young Africans from Tanzania, and Belouizdad from Algeria. Their group stage campaign is set to commence later this month.
In contrast, Arab Contractors suffered three defeats and managed two draws in the league after five matches.
