The move comes as the Israel stroke on Friday ambulance transporting injured people who were on their way to Egypt for treatment as per an agreement reached on Wednesday to allow the exit of foreigners and some critically injured people out of besieged Gaza.

Cairo has also informed Washington that the exit of dual nationals would be linked with the guarantee of a safe passage for the ambulances coming out of hospitals in the strip.

Additionally, Egypt is demanding a mechanism to allow for the unconditional entry of fuel and water to the Palestinians in the strip -- who have been grappling with severe shortages.

Dozens of wounded Palestinians and foreign nationals have already crossed from Gaza into Egypt over the past hours via the Rafah crossing as per the recently reached agreement.

However, following the Israeli strike, no one -- whether from the wounded or holder of a foreign passport--  arrived at the Egyptian terminal of Rafah on Saturday, sources told AFP.

Israel’s Friday strike targeted an ambulance outside Gaza's largest hospital Al-Shifa, killing at least 15 people and wounded 60 others, according to the health ministry in Gaza.

On Saturday, the Palestinian Administration suspended the evacuation of foreign passport holders, as reported by AFP.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza says air, land and sea attacks on Gaza have killed over 9,500 Palestinians; most of them are children and women.

Israel says 1,400 Israelis have lost their lives since the beginning of the war.
