The Pharaohs' winger Marmoush maintained his impressive form, scoring twice in Frankfurt's 3-0 victory over Union Berlin in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.
“Marmoush is a very good player. What I like most is that he is very hard-working, he listens well to instructions, cares for everything said to him, and finally enters games at full concentration,” the coach told reporters after Saturday’s game.
The 24-year-old forward has been on a scoring spree recently, scoring seven goals in the past five games across all competitions.
Saturdays’ double came just one week after he found the net twice also in Frankfurt's 3-3 draw against Dortmund.
“The goals scored by Marmoush now are just a reward for his hard work,” Toppmöller added.
With six goals in ten Bundesliga appearances this season, including strikes against Mainz, Hoffenheim, and two against Dortmund, Marmoush's impressive tally continues to grow.
Since joining Frankfurt on a free transfer from Wolfsburg last summer, he has now reached a total of ten goals across all competitions.
Toppmöller also said that Marmoush’s quick movements inside the area always disturb opponents, adding that the player is always determined to score.
Frankfurt, which finished last season in seventh place with 50 points, currently sits in seventh position in the table with 17 points after nine games so far this season.
