According to Al-Arabiyah channel, the border has reopened to facilitate the evacuation of foreigners and dual nationals, allowing them to cross into Egypt after several days of closure.

On Friday, the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) announced the delivery of the 10th batch of urgent humanitarian aid.

The United Nations stressed the need for approximately 100 humanitarian trucks to enter Gaza each day to address the most fundamental requirements.

Rafah crossing reopens

Following days of closure, the Rafah border crossing has reopened to continue the evacuation of foreigners and dual nationals to Egypt, Palestinian sources told Al-Arabiya channel.

After an Israeli airstrike on Friday, Hamas suspended the exit of foreigners to Egypt on Saturday as Israel has refused to allow the evacuation of injured Palestinians to Egyptian hospitals, a border official told AFP.

Egyptian Minister of Health Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar held a press conference on Saturday in North Sinai’s El-Arish, saying that Egypt receives between 40 to 50 injured Palestinians from Gaza for treatment on a daily basis and is willing to receive more.

Since Wednesday, hundreds of foreigners and dual nationals have crossed the Rafah crossing from Gaza. The Egyptian foreign ministry said on Thursday that it is working to evacuate 7,000 foreigners from over 60 countries.
