Launched on 26 October, the exhibition brings together artists from different artistic backgrounds who "engage artistically with one of the most iconic historical landmarks, offering contemporary artworks that blend the present with the past, all while echoing history, the land, the environment, and humanity," reads the exhibition's press release.

The contemporary sculptural installations vary in materials, incorporating fiberglass, steel, stone, marble, and bronze into an artful and environmentally friendly experience.

The works are a showcase of international artists including Arne Quinze (Belgium), Arthur Lescher (Brazil), Azza Al-Qubaisi (UAE), Carol Feuerman (USA), Dionysios and Costas Varotsos (Greece), JR and Stéphane Breuer (France), Mohamed Banawy (Egypt), Pilar Zeta (Argentina), Rashid Al Khalifa (Bahrain), Rashed Al Shashai (Saudi Arabia), Sabine Marcelis (The Netherlands), and Sam Shendi (Egypt-UK).

The exhibition is organized and curated by CulturVator - Art D’Egypte under the auspices of the ministries of tourism and antiquities, foreign affairs, and culture; and the Egyptian National Commission for UNESCO.

"This year, the exhibition raises questions about the new era of technology and cultural change that the world is going through, by combining cultural heritage with the rich diversity of contemporary art practices,” explained Nadine Abdel-Ghaffar, the French-Egyptian curator, art consultant, and founder of Art D'Egypte.

“It also highlights the importance of cultural exchange among artists and showcases the position of human creativity at the heart of history and ancient Egyptian civilization," she added.
