22:15 Abdel-Fattah Dawla, the spokesman for the Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah), assured that all efforts at all levels to stop the war on Gaza are crucial at this stage, especially the Egyptian role.
In a Skype interview on Al Qahera News TV channel on Wednesday evening, Dawla also said the Arab countries are exerting a “significant” role in this respect.
Israeli occupation considers itself unstoppable due to the unlimited support from the United States and Europe, he added.
Furthermore, he reaffirmed that the Palestine Liberation Movement and the Palestinian Authority, led by President Mahmoud Abbas, are the sole representatives of the Palestinians in international forums, including the upcoming international humanitarian conference for Gaza in Paris and the Arab Summit.
20:50 An alliance of 13 major aid groups urged world leaders to push for a ceasefire in Gaza, after one month of the Israeli war on the strip that has killed and injured more than 35,000 Palestinians and triggered one of the worst human catastrophes in the 21st century.
"The organizations call on French President Emmanuel Macron and heads of state to do everything in their power to obtain an immediate ceasefire," they said in a statement Wednesday.
The signatories' call, which comes one day before a humanitarian conference on the Gaza Strip is due to be held in Paris, include Doctors Without Borders, Amnesty International, Oxfam, Action Against Hunger, the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC), and the International Federation for Human Rights
19:40 During a phone call with the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry reaffirmed the necessity of building upon the international consensus embodied in the recent United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) resolution calling for an immediate humanitarian truce in Gaza
Shoukry also highlighted Egypt’s ongoing communications with international parties to push for a ceasefire in Gaza in order to ensure the protection of civilians and foil attempts to displace Palestinians forcibly.
19:20 In a message of international solidarity, travelers who were aboard the Panama-flagged cruise ship "Pacific World", sailed by Japan-based luxury cruise operator and NGO "Peace Boat", gathered with signs in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as the ship is docked at the port of Port Said at the Mediterranean terminus of the Suez Canal in northeastern Egypt.

18:30 Photographers captured scenes reminiscent of the 1948 Nakba, as tens of thousands of Palestinians escaped Israeli bombing in northern Gaza - on foot - as Israel continues its forced displacement of the population inside the strip.
17:30 Hamas accused the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees of "colluding" with Israel in the "forced displacement" of residents of Gaza.
"UNRWA and its officials bear responsibility for this humanitarian catastrophe, in particular the residents of the Gaza area and north of it, who are following instructions to flee," said Salama Maruf, head of the media bureau of Hamas.
16:30 Egypt is near to closing a "humanitarian truce" deal in the war in Gaza that would involve an exchange of Israeli captives and Palestinian detainees, according to informed sources who spoke with Al Qahera News TV channel.
Meanwhile, Hamas has confirmed speaking to Israel via mediators on the issue of exchanging prisoners, according to Al Arabiya.
Hamas has been holding more than 240 Israelis and foreign nationals after capturing them at the start of the war on 7 October.
In recent days, Hamas has announced that a number of its captives were killed in the Israeli bombing campaign on the strip.
In October, Hamas released four captives, including two US citizens and two elderly Israeli women.
On the other side, Israel has been holding more than 5,200 Palestinian political prisoners in its jails, including many women and children, with many of them in captivity for tens of years.
Since 7 October, Israel has arrested more than 2,000 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, thus raising the number of Palestinian political prisoners in its jails to over 7,200.
16:00 According to various reports, Over 1.5 million people have been displaced in Gaza; all 13 northern Gaza hospitals have been evacuated; bodies have been accumulating outside hospitals, where surgeons are working by phone light.

15:22 Hamas spokesman affirms that engaging in any American-Israeli talks "to impose a new reality in Gaza is a conspiracy to liquidate the Palestinian cause."
15:20 Israel’s wartime security Cabinet will meet late Wednesday in the occupied West Bank offices of the military’s Central Command “due to warnings by security officials about the potential for a serious escalation in violence” in the territory, the Ynet website reported, citing a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office.
15:18 Italy is sending a hospital ship near Gaza's coast to help treat victims of the Israeli war, Italian defence minister Guido Crosetto said on Wednesday
The ship is leaving on Wednesday with 170 staff, including 30 people trained for medical emergencies, the minister said, adding that was also working to send a field hospital to Gaza, Reuters reported.
15:10 Qatar is mediating negotiations between Israel and Hamas for the potential release of 10-15 of the individuals held in Gaza in exchange for a short ceasefire, a source briefed on the talks told AFP.
"Negotiations mediated by the Qataris in coordination with the US are ongoing to secure the release of 10-15 hostages in exchange for a one- to two-day ceasefire," the informed source said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the talks' sensitivity.
14:30 The Israeli occupation military confirmed that a member of a special forces unit has been killed in fighting in Gaza.
So far, Israel has confirmed that 32 army corps have died in Gaza since the ground invasion began on 27 October.
14:05 The widespread and systematic bombardment of housing and civilian infrastructure in Gaza amounts to a war crime and a crime against humanity, an independent United Nations expert said Wednesday.
A month of Israeli attacks on targets within the Gaza Strip have destroyed or damaged 45 percent of all housing units in the Palestinian territory, Balakrishnan Rajagopal said, warning the destruction comes at a "tremendous cost to human life".
"Carrying out hostilities with the knowledge that they will systematically destroy and damage civilian housing and infrastructure, rendering an entire city, such as Gaza City, uninhabitable for civilians is a war crime," he said.
When such acts are "directed against a civilian population, they also amount to crimes against humanity", he said.
Domicide, he said, "is now being committed in Gaza".
13:40 The head of the main United Nations agency working in the Palestinian territories said that 92 of his employees have been killed in Gaza.
“It has now been 1 month since the abhorrent attack in Israel and brutal war and tight siege in Gaza,” Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said on X.
“It pains me greatly that 92 UNRWA colleagues were killed in Gaza. We are never going to be the same without them," Lazzarini said.
"Once again, I call for a ceasefire for the sake of humanity," he wrote.
12:50 The Palestine Red Crescent Society reported that “Israeli bombardment has been ongoing since last night in the vicinity of al-Quds hospital from the western side.”
The PRCS said on X that "all roads are closed heading to the hospital, and medical teams are unable to leave the hospital to reach the injured persons.”
Israel has been regularly accusing Hamas of operating from Gaza Strip hospitals and presented what it claimed as evidence that the resistance group was using Sheikh Hamad and Indonesian hospitals essentially as cover.
However, an investigation by Al Jazeera found no evidence to support the Israeli claim, which is further supported by the video footage produced by the news outlet, discrediting Israel's assertions.
The PRCS earlier said that Israel was responsible for firing Tuesday on an aid convoy operated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The ICRC on Tuesday said that its convoy had come under fire, but did not apportion blame. Two trucks were damaged in the attack and a driver sustained minor injuries, the ICRC said.
12:40 The Palestinian death toll has reached 10,560 people, including 4,324 children and 2,823 women killed by Israel in 33 days of war. Additionally, more than 22,000 have been wounded, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
The ministry says almost half of those killed in the past day were in the southern Gaza Strip, an area that Israel forced Palestinians to evacuate to, claiming it is safer than the north.
Israel carried out 27 attacks in southern Gaza in the past day alone, killing 241 people.
11:30 Former Palestinian Authority PM Salam Fayyad emphasized that Israel's goal of destroying or eliminating Hamas is not possible.
He stated in an interview with Christiane Amanpour on CNN, "Hamas is a political movement and trying to completely eliminate it is not a realistic goal."
Fayyad also highlighted that Hamas is an integral part of the Palestinian political landscape and that differing characterizations by Israel and some international elements do not represent the views of all, nor the view of Palestinians.
10:55 Speaking in Tokyo, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has again rejected calls for a ceasefire in Gaza. He also said that Gaza cannot continue to be run by Hamas. "That simply invites repetition of 7 October. It is also clear that Israel cannot occupy Gaza".
Changing Washington's previous stance, Blinken suggested that Israel might run the Gaza Strip for a “transition period.”
"Now, the reality is that there may be a need for some transition period at the end of the conflict. We don’t see a reoccupation and what I’ve heard from Israeli leaders, is that they have no intent to reoccupy Gaza."
On Tuesday, White House national security spokesperson John Kirby also told reporters that the United States would oppose a reoccupation of Gaza by Israel's military in post-conflict Gaza.
Blinken outlined the U.S. vision for what a post-war scenario in Gaza, following the war, should entail in order to create "durable peace and security."
He listed key elements: "No forcible displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, not now, not after the war; No use of Gaza as a platform for terrorism or other violent attacks; No reoccupation of Gaza after the conflict ends and no attempt to blockade or besiege Gaza or any reduction in the territory of Gaza."
10:50 The Palestinian Red Crescent (PRCS) has reported that Israeli occupying forces continue to carry out highly aggressive airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, adversely affecting the organization's staff, volunteers, vehicles, and facilities.
Meanwhile, the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) said that at least 39 journalists have now been killed in the Israeli war on Gaza.
The war has brought about the “deadliest month for journalists” since CPJ began gathering data in 1992.
Among those, CPJ said that 34 were Palestinian, four Israeli, and one Lebanese. A further eight journalists have been injured and three are missing, according to CPJ.
The most recent to die, on Tuesday, were Yahya Abu Manih, a journalist from Al-Aqsa radio channel and Mohamed Abu Hassira, a journalist for WAFA, both killed in Israeli airstrikes.
10:35 Top diplomats from the G7 called for “humanitarian pauses” in Gaza but refrained from calling for a ceasefire while expressing their support for Israel.
In a statement following two days of talks, foreign ministers from Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy and the US said they are “working intensively to prevent the conflict from escalating further and spreading more widely,” and also using sanctions and other measures to deny Hamas the ability to raise and use funds.
They also condemned “the rise in extremist settler violence committed against Palestinians,” which they said is “unacceptable, undermines security in the West Bank, and threatens prospects for a lasting peace.”
9:10 Israel has forcibly displaced hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from their homes, leading to the exodus of over 1.5 million people.
The exodus from northern Gaza has accelerated due to the intensified air and ground operations by Israel, according to UN monitors.

On Tuesday, approximately 15,000 people fled, a significant increase from 5,000 on Monday and 2,000 on Sunday, as reported by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
These evacuees, primarily children, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities, have a limited four-hour window for movement. Many arrived on foot with minimal belongings.
While tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians remain in the combat zone, seeking refuge in hospitals or UN schools, some are hesitant to move south due to dire humanitarian conditions in the evacuation zone and ongoing deadly Israeli airstrikes across Gaza, including in the southern regions.
Footage has emerged depicting hundreds of Gazans being compelled to relocate, with many seen walking either with their arms raised up or waving white flags.
9:05 Over the night, the US House of Representatives voted to censure Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian-American in Congress, over her comments in which she condemned the Israeli war on Gaza.
The Democrat was censured by Republicans and some members of her own party in a resolution that passed by 234 votes to 188.
In an emotional during the debate, she said: "The cries of the Palestinian and Israeli children sound the same to me."
"Do you realize what it’s like for the people outside our chamber listening to our own government dehumanize them?" she added as she clutched a photo of her grandmother, who lives in the occupied West Bank.
"I can’t believe I have to say this but Palestinian people are not disposable. We are human beings just like anyone else."
"No government is beyond criticism. The idea that criticizing the government of Israel is anti-Semitic sets a very dangerous precedent, and it's been used to silence diverse voices speaking up for human rights across our nation," she said.
“It’s a shame my colleagues are more focused on silencing me than they are on saving lives, as the death toll in Gaza surpasses 10,000. Many of them have shown me that Palestinian lives simply do not matter to them," she said.
9:00 Al Jazeera reported that “Israeli soldiers are moving further into Gaza City centre and are only about 700 metres from Al-Shifaa hospital."
The network is also reporting serious injuries after “a public school full of people displaced was targeted by Israeli gunboats” in Gaza City.
Israel’s occupation military has claimed the killing of Mohsen Abu Zina, Hamas’ head of weapons and industries in its manufacturing department.
The Israeli troops also claim to have destroyed a cell that planned to fire anti-tank missiles at the forces. The claims have not been independently verified.
