Earlier on Wednesday, a truck carrying 24,000 litres of fuel entered Gaza from Egypt, in the first such delivery since the Israeli war on Gaza began on 7 October.
Fuel shortages in the Gaza Strip have resulted in the death of dozens, including children, with the Palestinian health minister saying on Sunday that 23 out of 35 hospitals in Gaza have completely stopped working due to lack of fuel.
"As more time passes without fuel, we will lose most patients and infants in intensive care," the ministry spokesperson said on the same day.
Moreover, the Palestinian telecoms company reported on Thursday that mobile phone and internet services have gone down across Gaza due to insufficient fuel for backup generators.
Telecom firms Paltel and Jawwal said all energy sources sustaining their networks were depleted, and an internet monitor confirmed a major outage.
"We regret to announce that all telecom services in Gaza Strip have gone out of service as all energy sources sustaining the network have been depleted, and fuel was not allowed in," Patel said in a statement on Thursday afternoon.
