The announcement was made by Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society Dr Ramy El-Nagar during a press conference on Monday.
The organization has intensified its efforts over the past three days to take advantage of the truce, the director said.
These efforts include dispatching more trucks carrying medical, relief, and food aid through the border crossing to alleviate the burden on Gaza’s residents, he added.
El-Nagar affirmed that the Egyptian Red Crescent’s staff and volunteers are still working diligently to prepare more aid, including ensuring the quality of products, sorting, repackaging, reviewing, and preparing them for transport.
During the press conference, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Egypt Ghanem Saqr Al-Ghanem expressed gratitude to the organization for working with its Kuwaiti counterpart to send a convoy of 35 trucks filled with medical, food, and other aid.
