Egyptian actor Tarek Abdelaziz dies at age of 55

Egyptian actor Tarek Abdelaziz died suddenly on Sunday at the age of 55.

Abdelaziz died of a sudden heart attack while filming his new TV series 'W Beina Etneen' (And Between the Two of Us).

The producer of the series, Karim Abu Zekry, revealed in a statement that Abdelaziz had been in good health yet got tired around 3.30 pm on Sunday. He was taken to hospital where he received medical attention that included cardiac catheterization. Despite the medical efforts, he passed away soon after. 

The prayers and funeral for the late actor took place at noon on Monday.

Born on 4 August 1968, Abdelaziz graduated from law school in 1991.

He started acting during his university years, joining numerous troupes, including El-Warsha led by Hassan El-Gereitly.

Abdelaziz starred in several TV series, including, among others, Ostaz wa Raees Qesm, Rahim, Rageen Ya Hawa, and Dayman Amer. In addition, he also played roles in a number of films, including Hammaam Fi Amsterdam, Ashab wala Business, Febrayer Al-Aswad, among others.
