The win marked their first league victory after suffering two consecutive defeats.

After starting the season with two draws, Zamalek managed to win twice before facing defeats in their previous two league games against Enppi and newly promoted side ZED FC, both with a 2-1 scoreline.

Winger Ahmed 'Zizo' Sayed put Zamalek in the lead by converting a penalty in the 39th minute, while Senegalese forward Ibrahima Ndiaye added a second goal just before halftime.

Modern Future FC came close to making an ideal start when Aymen Sfaxi's effort hit the crossbar, but the Tunisian midfielder was flagged for offside.

Both teams attempted to control the midfield but failed to pose a real threat, resulting in no clear chances being created.

Zamalek's Tunisian striker Seif Jaziri earned a penalty after being fouled inside the area, and spot-kick specialist Ahmed 'Zizo' Sayed successfully converted it in the 39th minute.

Six minutes later, Senegalese forward Ibrahima Ndiaye doubled the lead by capitalizing on a rebounded ball from Modern Future's goalkeeper Mahmoud Abdel-Rehim, scoring easily into an empty net.

The second half lacked excitement, with the hosts attempting to narrow the gap and level the score, but their efforts were easily contained by Zamalek's defence and goalkeeper.

The only threat came in injury time when Omar El-Saed's header hit the crossbar.

On the other hand, Seif Jaziri had a goal disallowed for offside after a VAR check.

With this win, Zamalek currently advanced to fifth place in the league table with 11 points from seven games, trailing leaders Pyramids FC by five points.

Modern Future FC remain in fourth place with 12 points.
