Egyptian Giants Ahly will face off against hosts Young Africans of Tanzania in the second round of Group D in the CAF Champions League on Saturday, with the Cairo giants determined to maintain their flawless start in the competition despite a growing injury list.

The reigning Champions League holders head into the match at the top of Group D after the Red Devils kicked off their group-stage campaign with a convincing 3-0 victory over Medeama of Ghana.

Ahly's Swiss coach Marcel Koller acknowledged the Tanzanian side's strength but expressed caution ahead of the game.

"Young Africans are a strong and organized team, and they have achieved positive results in their recent games. Therefore, we must put in extra effort to secure a victory in tomorrow's match," Koller stated during the pre-game press conference.

The Cairo Giants have suffered a fresh injury blow as defender Mohamed Abdel-Moneim could miss the game after he sustained an ankle injury during training, adding to the team's growing injury concerns.

On the other hand, Young Africans, currently in fourth place in Group D after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Chabab De Belouizdad last week, are determined to bounce back into the competition. They will rely on their offensive abilities and solid defense to face their high-caliber opponent.

Ahly will be eager to assert their dominance over Young Africans, considering their track record. The Red Devils have emerged victorious in four out of their previous six encounters since 2009, with one loss and one draw.
