"I stand by my stance. Regardless of anyone's opinion, I will never acknowledge Hamas as a terrorist group," Erdoğan emphasized while addressing journalists aboard the presidential plane after attending the COP28 climate summit in Dubai, Anadolu Agency reported.

Strongly condemning Israel's war in Gaza, he characterized Israel's actions as "state terrorism," emphasizing that such acts cannot be overlooked.

"This is state terrorism. We cannot stay silent against this state terrorism," he said.

The Turkish leader also criticized the Netanyahu government's attacks on Gaza as a "black stain" in history, and that countries unconditionally supporting these actions are "stained as well."

Moreover, he lamented the indifference exhibited by certain states and international organizations, asserting that the world would not forget their position.

Erdoğan noted: "Israeli officials, once victims of genocide, have now become perpetrators of violence against their own ancestors."

Additionally, Erdoğan expressed his anticipation that the International Criminal Court (ICC) would ensure accountability for those responsible for the Gaza incidents, particularly Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Highlighting Turkey's commitment to pursuing lasting peace in the region, Erdoğan reiterated Ankara's approach centred on seeking avenues for enduring peace.

"Our guiding principle is, 'How can we restore opportunities for lasting peace in the region?'" he stated.

He stressed the necessity of a two-state solution for addressing the Gaza issue.

"Prioritizing a two-state solution is vital for resolving the Gaza conflict and eliminating threats. Excluding Hamas from the equation is not a practical scenario," he added.
