The Qatari government will coordinate with Egypt to transport the wounded and their companions to regional hospitals, the Qatari statement said without revealing further details.
The statement also announced the Qatari emir's sponsorship of 3,000 orphaned children in Gaza.
Since the start of the recent Israeli airstrikes on Gaza, Qatar sent 37 planes carrying 1,203 tons of aid, including food, medical supplies, and shelter materials, as well as a field hospital and ambulances, the Qatari government said.
Last week, Egypt’s Ministry of Health launched an initiative to treat 1,000 children wounded in Israel's attack on the Gaza Strip in cooperation with Terous Misr Foundation for Development, an NGO, and Nestlé Egypt, a private bottled water brand.
Egypt has already received Palestinian children with cancer from the war-battered Gaza Strip, shortly after Turkey announced plans to take 1,000 Gazan patients for treatment as per an agreement with Egypt in November.
The UAE has announced a similar initiative to treat 1,000 injured Palestinian children, as well as 1,000 Palestinian cancer patients in coordination with Egypt.
