Ismaily end winless streak; Ceramica outclass Enppi to move into top four

Ismaily ended their five-game winless streak in the Egyptian Premier League with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over NBE Club on Tuesday, while Ceramica Cleopatra climbed to fourth after a thrilling 4-2 win over Enppi.

Omar El-Saaiy gave Ismaily a dream start, converting Abdel-Rahman Magdi's cross with a brilliant backheel in the 16th minute. However, Amir Medhat levelled for NBE just three minutes into the second half.

Emad Hamdy proved to be Ismaily's saviour, netting the winner in the 76th minute to secure their second win of the season.

With this result, Ismaily maintained their 14th place in the table with seven points after seven games.

NBE Club, meanwhile, are rooted to the bottom with just three points, having won only once this campaign.

In the other match of the day, Ceramica Cleopatra served up a four-goal thriller against Enppi. Ahmed Yasser Rayan opened the scoring for Ceramica just before halftime, before a Nigerian double from Sodiq Awujoola and John Ebuka put them firmly in control.

Enppi refused to surrender, pulling one back through Ahmed Amin three minutes before the final whistle. However, a bizarre own goal from Mostafa Dowidar gifted Ceramica a fourth, before Ahmed Nader Hawash netted a consolation for Enppi in injury time.

The win lifts Ceramica to fourth on 13 points, while Enppi stay 12th with 10 points.
