"We, the undersigned Fall 2023 White House and Executive Office of the President interns, will no longer remain silent on the ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people," the interns wrote.
“We heed the voices of the American people and call on the Administration to demand a permanent ceasefire,” the interns wrote.
“We are not the decision makers of today, but we aspire to be the leaders of tomorrow, and we will never forget how the pleas of the American people have been heard and thus far, ignored.”
Since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza on 7 October, Biden has ignored large demonstrations that have taken place across various cities and universities. which called for an end to US unconditional support for Israel in its war on the Palestinians and demanded that Washington push for an immediate ceasefire.

On Wednesday, Israel announced that it received the 200th plane from the US carrying arms and ammunition from the US.
The US has sent 10,000 tons of military equipment to Israel so far into the war, according to the Israeli government.
