Hamed, 35, made his mark just one minute into the second half, unleashing a shot that cannoned off the crossbar and rebounded off Ittihad's Brazilian goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe into the net.

Damac FC led 2-1 at halftime thanks to a brace from Cameroonian international winger Georges-Kévin N'Koudou.

Hamed joined Damac during the summer transfer window after Al-Ittihad opted to release the tough-tackling midfielder following the signing of N'Golo Kante and Fabinho.

Last season, Hamed played a key role in Al-Ittihad's double-winning campaign, helping them secure both the Saudi Pro League and the Saudi Super Cup titles.

The win propelled Damac FC to sixth place in the league table with 24 points, while Ittihad Jeddah remained fourth with 28 points.
