The Red Devils are determined to add a new coloured medal to their illustrious history.
Ahead of their departure, Ahly football director Khaled Bibo convened a closed meeting with the squad, urging them to maintain focus on their objective.
"Defender Mahmoud Metwally, who has recovered from a muscle injury, participated in the training session," according to a statement on the club's official website.
The FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to take place in Jeddah from 12 to 22 December, will witness Ahly commence their campaign on 15 December against the victor of the opening match between hosts Ittihad Jeddah and New Zealand's Auckland City FC.
Among the seven competing teams, Manchester City from England, Auckland City FC from New Zealand, Ahly from Egypt, Urawa Reds from Japan, Club Leon from Mexico, Fluminense FC from Brazil, and hosts Ittihad Jeddah, the European champions are considered the favorites for the prestigious trophy.
Egypt's most successful club Ahly will make their 9th appearance in the FIFA Club World Cup after finishing in third place in 2006, 2020, and 2021.
Real Madrid currently hold the record for the most FIFA Club World Cup wins, having triumphed on five occasions.
Ittihad Jeddah are set to face Auckland City FC in the first round on Tuesday, while Japan's Urawa Reds will clash with Mexican Club Leon on Friday.
Fluminense FC, the 2023 Copa Libertadores champions, and UEFA Champions League winners Manchester City will commence their campaign from the semifinals.
The victor of the FIFA Club World Cup will be awarded a substantial prize of $5 million, with the runner-up receiving $4 million.
The third-place finisher will secure $2.5 million, the fourth-place finisher $2 million, and the fifth- and sixth-place finishers each $1 million.
The seventh-place finisher will be granted $500,000.
The competition, initially known as the FIFA Club World Championship, was first contested in 2000.
It was not held from 2001 to 2004 due to various reasons, but since 2005, it has taken place annually, hosted by Brazil, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, and Qatar.
