Market watch: Egyptian Exchange starts week in green

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) index started the week in the green territory and the market cap gained EGP 10 billion.

Stock market
 
 

The EGX30 index inched up 0.28 percent, settling at 24,792 points.

The EGX70 rose 1.58 percent to end at 5,450 points. and the EGX100 index grew 1.4 percent to close at 7,877 points.

The market capitalization gained EGP 10 billion, ending at around EGP 1,683 billion.

El Kahera El Watania Investments' stock soared by 19.3 percent to close at EGP 12.24 per share, making it the biggest winner on the stock exchange.

Meanwhile, the worst performer on the exchange today was El Nasr For Manufacturing Agricultural Crops. The stock fell 4.12 percent to EGP 17.24 per share.

Gold purchase prices
 

The purchase price of 24-carat gold reached EGP 3,291 per gram on Sunday.

The 21-carat gold price recorded EGP 2,880 per gram and the 18-carat gold price registered EGP 2,469 per gram.

The price of the gold pound hit EGP 23,040 for purchase.

The official EGP/USD exchange rate remains stable at EGP 30.8277 for buying and EGP 30.9586 for selling.

The euro is valued at EGP 33.5837 for purchase and EGP 33.7356 for sale.

The Saudi riyal is priced at EGP 8.217 for buying and EGP 8.2523 for selling.
