Moreover, the partnership aims to launch initiatives promoting financial and digital inclusion literacy.
Both companies will also cooperate in establishing regulatory frameworks to propel the advancement of digital payments, according to the statement.
These endeavors will primarily concentrate on fortifying digital government ecosystems worldwide, with a particular emphasis on advancing digital payments and digital identity management services, said Shahebaz Khan, senior vice president at Visa CEMEA.
Furthermore, this collaboration is expected to facilitate the implementation of payment infrastructure and services based on digital identification on a national level, thereby unlocking substantial market potential, Khan explained.
Notably, TECH5, renowned for its technological components and identity wallet infrastructure, offers biometric software development kits (SDKs) and software platforms for contactless biometric capture and matching, digital identification issuance, and management on a global scale.
These solutions can be seamlessly integrated with Visa payment services and other value-added components, facilitating the deployment of digital public infrastructure and e-commerce marketplaces, as per the statement.
For his part, Machiel van der Harst, CEO and co-founder of TECH5, highlighted the company's profound understanding and expertise in implementing ID projects at a national level.
Harst also emphasized TECH5's contribution to technological components and infrastructure supporting biometric matching, digital identification, and identity wallet solutions, which foster seamless and secure payments.
