Egypt s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi
The three nations’ leaders will discuss the efforts to stop the escalation and means to address the humanitarian catastrophe endured by the Palestinian people, said Ahmed Fahmy, the spokesman of the Egyptian presidency.
President El-Sisi will review Egypt’s efforts to achieve a ceasefire, facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, and present the country’s vision to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, Fahmy added.
On Monday, El-Sisi met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Cairo, where they discussed ways of ending the ongoing Israeli war on Gaza.
Two weeks ago, El-Sisi also held a summit meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah II in Cairo, where they tackled the humanitarian situation in the besieged strip.
The summit coincides with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken’s tour in the Middle East to rally the region leaders for post-war Gaza.
Earlier on Wednesday, Blinken met with Abbas in Ramallah. He will conclude his tour in Cairo on Thursday.
The Israeli war and blockade of the Gaza Strip enters its 96th day.
More than 23,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 58,000 others have been wounded so far.
Most of the 2.4 million population of the strip are facing near-famine conditions.
