16:30 The island nation's team coach Bubista said on Sunday that his team will do everything to beat Egypt, adding that all his players are ready for the match.

"We have confidence in all the players and we will do everything to win against Egypt. We have a great responsibility in front of our fans and the group points have not closed yet. We will play in the same way that we played against everyone," Bubista told a news conference.

16:00 On the other side, Cape Verde, who have already qualified for the last 16 as group leaders with six points, are aiming for their first-ever win over Egypt.

"We must demonstrate determination and play with intensity to overcome Cape Verde. I am fully aware that tomorrow we will face a formidable opponent," the Portuguese boss added.

13:30 On Sunday, Egypt coach Rui Vitoria said that his sole focus is on Monday's match against Cape Verde, refusing to comment on his future after the team's recent shaky perfromances.

12:30 The Pharaohs currently lie second in Group B with two points, four points behind leaders Cape Verde who have already secured their place in the second round as group leaders. Group other comaptriots Ghana and Mozambique, both with one point, will also face off on Monday.
