This gloomy weather is expected to continue until the end of next week, so make sure to keep your umbrellas and heavy clothes at hand.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) is warning of chilly weather and strong winds throughout the coming week. Nights will be especially frosty, so, it can be a good idea to stay at home at night if you are not a big fan of true winter weather.

If you're planning a coastal getaway, keep an eye on the North Coast and northern Lower Egypt as chances of some light to moderate rain are high until the weekend.

The EMA cautions that navigation may be disrupted in the Mediterranean on Tuesday and Wednesday. Waves might reach heights of 3-4 metres, and winds could blow at a swift 60-80 km/hour.

All areas nationwide will continue to experience declining temperatures through Wednesday.

In Cairo, Wednesday will bring us highs of 17 and lows of 9, while the North Coast will reach highs of 16 and lows of 10. Heading northeast to Sharm El-Sheikh and Dahab in South Sinai, the weather will record highs of 20 and lows of 11.

In Southern Upper Egypt, encompassing the beauties of Aswan and Luxor, temperatures will reach highs of 20 and lows of 9 on Wednesday. As for northern Upper Egypt, home to Beni Suef and Fayoum, temperatures will reach highs of 17 and lows of 6.
