The transfer ban had prevented Zamalek from making any signings during the summer due to their failure to pay the dues owed to Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon for the transfer of their captain Mahmoud 'Shikaballa' Abdel-Razek back in 2015.
In addition, the club had outstanding dues to former Ghanaian player Benjamin Acheampong and the club of Beninese forward Samson Akinyoola.
Earlier this month, the Zamalek board announced that they had resolved all their cases and were awaiting the official announcement from FIFA.
"After extensive and challenging negotiations, the club has successfully resolved all financial dues and fines with all parties involved. We have resolved 14 cases and now await an official letter from FIFA confirming the lifting of the transfer ban."
Following a disappointing season that saw Zamalek finish in third place in the domestic league, the club was in desperate need of recruitment. However, they were unable to do so due to the transfer ban.
Currently, the White Knights find themselves in 12th place on the league table with 11 points from eight matches, trailing leaders ZED FC by eight points, who have played two more matches.
Zamalek have been linked with several players in this winter transfer window, such as Pyramids FC veteran playmaker Abdallah El-Saed, Egypt U-23 midfielder Mohamed Shehata, and Modern Future midfielder Nasser Maher.
The transfer window is set to close at the end of January.
