The Cairo giants have a postponed match against Belouizdad due to their participation in the FIFA Club World Cup last December.

"We faced Belouizdad in Cairo and we know they are tough opponents. However, we are ready to secure the points and return home victorious," Koller said on Thursday during the pre-game press conference.

Koller acknowledged  Ahly may face difficulties with the Algerian side enjoying home-court advantage and fan support.

"All the players are fit for the game, including those who participated in the challenging 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. They have returned to training and are prepared for the match against Belouizdad," stated the Swiss coach.

Ahly lead Group D of the CAF Champions League with five points from four games, holding a one-point advantage over Tanzania's Young Africans.

Belouizdad, on the other hand, sits third in the group rankings with four points.
