House of Representatives Defense and National Security Committee member Ahmed Saleh reviewed the amendments to the law during the plenary session.
Saleh pointed out that the amendment aims to achieve financial protection for the state budget by reducing losses resulting from fluctuations in exchange rates to issue passports electronically according to the new international standards and the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
He added that the amendment provides better security and effectiveness in combating passport forgery.
