Both teams have already secured their spots in the quarterfinals, but their focus now shifts to claiming the top spot in Group D in Friday's encounter.

Currently leading Group D with nine points from five rounds, Ahly holds a one-point advantage over second-placed Young Africans.

Their previous meeting in December resulted in a hard-fought 1-1 draw, setting the stage for an intense rematch.

"Tomorrow's game won't be easy," emphasized Ahly's coach, Marcel Koller, during the pre-game press conference, highlighting the challenging task ahead for his team.

Buoyed by their recent 5-1 victory over Baladeyet El-Mahalla in a delayed Egyptian League game, played at Cairo Stadium on Tuesday, the Red Devils enter the match with high motivation.

The team showcased its strength in depth as new signing, Palestinian striker Wessam Abou Ali, netted twice, while Karim Fouad and Reda Slim, who rarely feature, also found the back of the net.

Ahly's captain, Rami Rabia, expressed the team's readiness for the clash, stating, "We aim to secure three points to maintain our position at the top of the group. Teams competing for the title focus on every game with the goal of victory."

On the other side of the pitch, Young Africans displayed an impressive performance in their previous round, securing a resounding 4-0 home victory over Algeria's Chabab Belouizdad last Saturday.

Their strong showing adds further intrigue to the upcoming match.
