Zamalek confirmed on Sunday that they received a formal letter from CAF notifying them of the game's cancellation.

The Guinean team were set to face Egypt's Zamalek at Cairo International Stadium late on Sunday.

SOAR Coyah, in a statement, said that they are actively exploring options to postpone their upcoming match against Zamalek in the final round of the African Confederation Cup due to travel challenges.

In response, Zamalek requested the CAF to assess the situation and determine the fate of the game, emphasizing their readiness to arrive at the stadium on time regardless of their opponents' availability.

Following a meeting of the CAF Competitions Committee, the decision was made to cancel the game.

The result of the match will be announced in the forthcoming days.

SOAR Coyah currently sits at the bottom of Group B with only one point, while Zamalek has already secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the continental tournament.

Leading Group B with 13 points after completing five rounds, Zamalek maintains a four-point advantage over second-placed Abu Sleem of Libya.

Their previous encounter in December resulted in a 4-0 victory for Zamalek in Guinea, setting the stage for an eagerly anticipated rematch.
