The Islamic holy month of Ramadan begins on 11 March in Egypt and lasts for 30 days, according to the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG).
On Tuesday, the Cabinet announced that all shops, malls, restaurants, cafes, and Bazaars would close at 2 am throughout the month of Ramadan and the three days of Eid Al-Fitr.
