4.77 magnitude earthquake in West Turkey felt in Egypt

An earthquake measuring 4.77 on the Richter scale hit West Turkey on Sunday and was felt in Egypt, the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG) announced.

NRIAG reported that on Sunday, 10 March 2024, at 3:55 PM Cairo Local Time, Egypt’s stations of the National Earthquake Network recorded a magnitude 4.77 earthquake on the Richter scale approximately 520 kilometres away from the North of Rosetta in the North Nile Delta.

The NRIAG added that no damages or casualties were reported in Egypt.
