The three lines of Cairo Metro will operate until 1am during Ramadan.
The first line, connecting El-Marg in northern Cairo with Helwan in southern Cairo, and the second line, connecting Shubra El-Kheima in Qalioubiya with El-Mounib in Giza, will start operation at the usual time of 5:15am everyday.
The third green metro line, connecting Adly Mansour in El-Salam, Cairo, with Kit Kat in Giza, will start operation at 7:15am during Ramadan.
This line has temporarily adjusted its operating hours. It is set to operate from 6am to 11:30pm after Ramadan.
The LRT, which connects the New Administrative Capital, east Cairo, with Adly Mansour station, is operating from 6am until 12am during Ramadan, extending its service by an hour compared to the regular closing time of 11pm.

Cairo governorate has extended the operating hours of Al-Azhar tunnel, the longest tunnel in Cairo spanning 2.6 km and connecting downtown Cairo with Salah Salem road.
The tunnel will operate from 6am to 2am in Ramadan, instead of closing at midnight.
Shops, restaurants, malls, coffee shops, and bazaars are allowed to remain open until 2am during Ramadan. They normally close at 10pm.
However, restaurants and coffee shops will continue to offer takeaway services and home deliveries 24 hours a day.
Supermarkets, grocery stores, and bakeries are exempt from any restrictions on opening and closing times.
