Egypt and UAE airdrop aid to north Gaza on 1st day of Ramadan

The Egyptian Air Force, in cooperation with its counterpart from the United Arab Emirates conducted on Monday a new round of airdrops of humanitarian aid including food and medical supplies over northern Gaza, the Egyptian Armed Forces announced.

The aircraft took off from Arish Airport on Monday, the first day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

The Egyptian Air Force has also been conducting airdrops in collaboration with Jordan and other international partners to deliver aid to north Gaza, the statement added.

According to the Emirati Armed Forces, this is the eighth joint airdrop between the two countries.

The two aircraft dropped 42 tons of humanitarian aid including food and medical supplies, they added.

The Emirati forces said that more than 353 tons of food and relief aid have been airdropped over Gaza in joint operations between the two countries since the operation began.
