Egypt distributes 17,000 iftar and suhoor meals in Gaza
Egypt distributed on Monday 10,000 fresh iftar meals, 7,000 suhoor meals, and 25,000 loaves of bread in the Gaza Strip on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, according to Al-Qahera News TV channel.

On Friday, the Egyptian Red Crescent Society (ERCS) announced their aim to distribution of 30,000 meals a day to Palestinians facing starvation conditions in the war-torn Gaza Strip during Ramadan.
The ERCS is working out of a makeshift kitchen at its food supply centre in North Sinai’s Sheikh Zuwaid City.
The United Nations says that lack of humanitarian aid means famine is a growing risk in Gaza, where 2.4 million people are under near-total siege by the Israeli military.
At least 25 children have died of malnutrition and dehydration, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Aid groups say only a fraction of the supplies required to meet basic humanitarian needs have been allowed into Gaza since October when Israel placed it under near-total siege.
Hunger is most severe in the north, which has been cut off from the south by Israeli forces. Some countries, including Egypt, have resorted to airdropping supplies.
