Zamalek to face Modern Future FC in all-Egyptian Confederation Cup quarter-final

Cairo giants Zamalek are scheduled to take on fellow Egyptian club Modern Future FC in the quarter-finals of the Confederation Cup.

The draw, held in Cairo on Tuesday, resulted in an exciting all-Egyptian encounter for the White Knights.

The first leg is slated for March 31st, with the second leg to follow one week later.

Zamalek holds a winning record against Modern Future, having emerged victorious in all five of their previous encounters since Modern Future FC's promotion to the domestic league in the 2021-2022 season.

In other quarter-final matchups, Libyan side Abu Salem will face Moroccan Renaissance Berkane, while Nigerian club Rivers United will meet Algeria's USM Alger.

The remaining quarter-final tie features Stade Malien from Mali against Ghanaian side Dreams FC.

The winners of these matches will advance to the semi-finals, where Zamalek or Modern Future will square off against either Stade Malien or Dreams FC.

Additionally, the victor between Abu Salem or Renaissance Berkane will face the winner between Rivers United and USM Alger.
