El-Sisi's remarks came during a phone call with his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas.
The Egyptian president expressed his sincere best wishes for the brotherly Palestinian people during the holy month of Ramadan, especially in Gaza, which suffers from deteriorating humanitarian conditions.
For his part, the Palestinian president expressed his appreciation for the kind call, stressing his and the Palestinian people’s gratitude for the unwavering Egyptian support.
He also said he wishes Ramadan brings goodness and prosperity to Egypt and its people.
On Monday, Egypt distributed 10,000 fresh iftar meals, 7,000 suhoor meals, and 25,000 loaves of bread in the Gaza Strip on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan.
On Friday, the Egyptian Red Crescent Society (ERCS) announced their aim to distribute 30,000 meals a day to Palestinians facing starvation conditions in Gaza during Ramadan.
For over five months, Israel, which faces growing international pressure to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza, has continued its brutal war, killing 31,184 and wounding 72,889 since 7 October, most of whom are women and children.
