“The tournament was supposed to be in Abu Dhabi but now we are going to Cairo where I hope there will be a good football atmosphere," Dalic was quoted as saying on the Croatian Football Federation's official website.

“There will certainly be a lot more spectators making for a much better football atmosphere,” he added.

Last week, the international friendly tournament, which features Egypt New Zealand, Tunisia, and Croatia, was moved to Egypt from the previously planned in the United Arab Emirates.

The friendly tournament will be played from 22-26 March at the new state-of-the-art Egypt Stadium in the New Administrative Capital.

On 22 March, Egypt will face New Zealand, while Tunisia will take on Croatia.

The losers of these matches will compete in a third-place match on 25 March, and the winners will battle for the trophy on 26 March.

"We have two friendly matches ahead of us, a tournament that we will use to socialize and prepare for what awaits us for the Euro,” the Croatia national team coach said.

“There is a lot of pressure on our players in the clubs and they will benefit from some socializing,” Zlatko Dalic concluded.
