The president said the museum aims to preserve the heritage of Egyptian women and document their empowerment throughout the ancient and modern eras.
El-Sisi's directives came during attending on Thursday the Egyptian Women's and Mother's Day celebration ceremony, where he issued further directives to empower women.
The president also gave instructions to allocate EGP 10 billion to both the Family Support Fund and the Elderly Fund.
The Family Support Fund provides financial assistance to families of divorced parents, whereas the Elderly Fund offers social support to senior citizens.
In this regard, El-Sisi emphasized that the state will make every effort to support these funds, maximize its resources, and safeguard its assets.
He also instructed the government to review and apply the principles of gender equality to ensure equal access to financial services.
Moreover, he called for expanding the Care Economy as a viable sector for women's employment to create new job opportunities and enable them to balance between their productive and social roles.
The president also instructed to provide financing for women to establish small- and medium-sized enterprises with minimal conditions and guarantees, and stressed the need to raise financial awareness about inclusion programs for women in rural and remote areas.
Furthermore, El-Sisi affirmed that women should be provided with entrepreneurial technical support. He also gave instructions to expand incubators for small and micro-enterprises.
Similarly, the president called for promoting the digital economy as it provides an opportunity for professional recognition and empowers women to effectively engage in economic activities.
El-Sisi also stressed the necessity of enhancing women’s skills in marketable industries and technology and digitization to help them obtain jobs in future.
During the event, Egyptian Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Hala El-Said, stated that by the end of 2023, the financing allocated for women to launch small and micro-enterprises had reached EGP 88 billion, benefitting 5 million women.
El-Said also noted that the representation of women on boards of directors in the Egyptian Stock Exchange, banking sector, and non-banking financial sector has increased from 19 percent last year to 23 percent this year.
The goal is to achieve a representation of 30 percent by 2030, she added.
In recent years, Egypt has made significant progress in empowering women and addressing their issues.
Since 2014, women have been more notably present in parliament and diplomacy, and several female judges and prosecutors have been appointed in the State Council and the Public Prosecution.
Furthermore, Egypt launched, in cooperation with the UN, multiple campaigns to end violence against women.
