20:00 This is the third encounter between Egypt and New Zealand, with the hosts undefeated in the previous two games, picking up a win and a draw. The two sides last faced off in a friendly clash back in July 1999 which the Pharaohs won 1-0.

19:00 If the game ends in a draw, the match will go directly to penalties according to the tournament regulations. Each team will be allowed to make six substitutions during the game. 

17:00 Egypt will compete in the international friendly tournament without their star player Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah.

14:00 Coach Hossam Hassan, who took over as the Pharaohs' coach last month, is expected to use all the squad during the friendly tournament as he said before it will prepare the team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
"The tournament is very important for me and the team," stated Hossam Hassan during a news conference.
"We will be aiming for positive results and improved team performance to boost our confidence for upcoming commitments," he added.

13:00 The international friendly tournament, which features Egypt, New Zealand, Croatia, and Tunisia , takes place from 22nd to 26th March at the new state-of-the-art Egypt Stadium in the New Administrative Capital.
The winner of the Egypt and New Zealand game will face the winner of the match between Croatia and Tunisia in the final on Tuesday.
