According to the EMA on Saturday, heavy rainfall is expected on Monday and Tuesday in the northern regions of the country and some areas in Greater Cairo, with light to moderate rain in parts of northern Upper Egypt.
On Sunday there will be a chance of light rain in some coastal areas, the northern region, and cities along the Suez Canal intermittently, the EMA said on Saturday.
These conditions will persist through Wednesday, with improvement expected starting from Thursday.
The EMA urged citizens to bundle up against the cold.
Cairo and the Nile Delta will see highs of 28 degrees and lows of 15 through the weekdays.
South Sinai will see highs of 30 degrees and lows of 14 degrees.
Those heading to the North Coast for the Eid holiday should expect warm highs of 23 degrees with lows of 14 degrees.
North Upper Egypt governorates such as Fayoum, Beni Suef, and Minya will experience highs of 29 degrees in the morning, and lows of 14 degrees in the night.
Meanwhile, Sohag, Qena, Luxor, Aswan, and the Red Sea governorates in southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 31 degrees and lows of 19 degrees.
