El-Sisi received Mustafa and his delegation, which included Minister of Planning Wael Zaqout.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Said, and Palestinian Ambassador to Cairo Diab Al-Louh.

President El-Sisi welcomed the Palestinian prime minister, wishing him and his new government success in their efforts to achieve the aspirations of the Palestinian people.

He emphasized Egypt's continued support for the Palestinian cause, including ensuring fair Palestinian rights in an independent state on 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Palestinian PM expressed his gratitude and President Mahmoud Abbas's greetings and appreciation to President El-Sisi.

He commended Egypt's consistent support for Palestinian rights and praised El-Sisi’s efforts to stop the bloodshed in Gaza and avert the liquidation of the Palestinian cause.

The meeting included a review of Egypt's efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, exchange detainees, and provide sufficient humanitarian aid to address the crisis in the region.

Despite obstacles and challenges, the Palestinian PM praised Egypt's role in facilitating aid delivery to Gaza.

Both sides reiterated their complete rejection of Palestinian displacement or the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, warning against military escalation and the continued expansion of conflict.

They also affirmed that a just settlement of the Palestinian issue is essential for restoring regional security and stability.

The PM’s visit comes after Cairo hosted a new round of talks on Sunday for a ceasefire in Gaza between the director of the CIA William Burns, Head of Mossad David Barnea, negotiators from Egypt and Qatar, and a delegation of Hamas.
