The Egyptian giants secured a narrow 1-0 victory over ZED FC in a rescheduled league match on Thursday, with substitute Wissem Abou Ali scoring the late winner.

"We had a tough run that included a disappointing loss to NBE Bank and a frustrating draw with Enppi despite controlling both matches," Koller admitted after the game.

"Against ZED FC, we dominated possession but lacked precision in our passing and finishing. We created numerous scoring opportunities, but overall, I'm pleased with the players' performance and the crucial three points," added the Swiss tactician.

Injury concerns mount

The 63-year-old coach bemoaned a relentless fixture schedule that has resulted in significant player absences through injuries and fatigue.

"We're struggling with a significant number of injuries to key players due to the relentless schedule," Koller explained.

"Our national team players haven't had a proper rest in three weeks, and it's taking its toll on the squad."

"Our players are human not machines. The pressure leads to mental and physical fatigue, but I'm proud of their performance. They pushed themselves despite their exhaustion, and everyone is giving their all," he continued.

Koller concluded with a message to the fans: "I want them to celebrate the win today and Eid Al-Fitr. I eagerly await their presence and unwavering support in the upcoming Cairo derby against Zamalek. They are our support force and the 12th player, always standing firmly behind us."
