The White Knights claimed a 2-1 win over Ahly at Cairo Stadium, thanks to Tunisian striker Seif Jaziri's brace.

"We deserved the win, " Gomes told the post-match news conference.

"We played a good game and tried to implement our usual tactics"

"But we also faced difficulties due to the strength of our opponent. "

"However, I believe we should have scored more goals."

This victory marks their first league win over Ahly in four years.

They have now risen to 10th place in the league table with 21 points from 13 matches, 11 points behind Pyramids FC, who are leading the table but they played two matches more.
