Zamalek are set to host Dreams FC in the first leg in Cairo with the second leg will take place away from home one week later.
Zizo's participation in the continental clash remains uncertain after sustaining an ankle injury during Zamalek's 2-1 victory over archrivals Ahly in the Cairo derby on Monday.
The winger was forced off the pitch just 16 minutes into the first half.
"Zizo will undergo scans on Thursday to determine the extent of the injury," Zamalek doctor Mohamed Osama said on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the team's doctor revealed that fullback Ahmed Fatouh who also failed to complete the Cairo derby suffered a hamstring strain.
"Fatouh has a first-degree hamstring strain and we are currently working on getting him back into training as soon as possible," Dr. Osama concluded.
Zamalek are seeking their second Confederation Cup title after the one won in 2019.
