Ahly are set to face TP Mazembe in the first leg in Lubumbashi, with the second leg scheduled to take place at home one week later.
Tau had been absent from the Red Devils' recent continental and domestic matches due to an ankle injury.
"Percy Tau has fully recovered from his ankle injury and will be ready for the game against TP Mazembe," team doctor Ahmed Gaballah told Ahly’s official website on Thursday.
However, the team's doctor also revealed midfield duo Emam Ashour and Marwan Attia are still in the process of recovering.
"Ashour and Attia are currently undergoing their respective treatment programmes and will undergo x-rays next week to assess their condition," added Gaballah.
Ashour underwent a successful surgery after dislocating his shoulder during the Egypt national team's 1-0 victory over New Zealand in a friendly tournament, while Attia sustained a hamstring strain during the Egyptian Premier League game against ZED FC.
Gaballah said winger Hussein El-Shahat is undergoing a rehabilitation programme in the gym to maintain his fitness after he sustained fracture in his facial bone during the Cairo giants’ 2-0 win over Tanzania's Simba in the quarterfinals.
The reigning champions, who advanced to the semifinals for the 20th time in the club's history and the fifth consecutive time, are determined to extend their CAF Champions League winning record to a remarkable 12th title.
