Pyramids FC players celebrate the win (Club's official account)
Pyramids FC now have 35 points from 16 games, holding a four-point lead over second-placed Masry, who have played two more matches.
The hosts had to navigate the remainder of the game with ten players after talented winger Ramadan Sobhi was sent off on the hour-mark while the score was 2-2.
Prior to that, Ibrahim Adel had given Pyramids FC the lead just before halftime with a well-taken goal.
The second half witnessed a stunning comeback from NBE Club, as they scored two consecutive goals in the 50th and 52nd minutes, thanks to Saïdou Simpore and Karim Bambo.
However, Pyramids FC quickly responded, with Mostafa Fathi leveling the score just three minutes after NBE Club's second goal.
Pyramids FC suffered a significant setback when Ramadan Sobhi was dismissed following a VAR check for a harsh tackle on defender Ayman Ashraf.
Despite being down to ten men, Pyramids FC showed resilience, and Mostafa Fathi once again proved crucial by scoring his second goal and the third for his team from the spot in the 74th minute, securing three valuable points for Pyramids FC.
