Nominations are now open, inviting entries from women-owned and operated SMEs with a turnover of less than $13.6 million and a workforce of six to 50 employees.

All women executives or business owners based in the EEMEA region or those offering services to these markets are allowed to submit their nominations by 20 May 2024.

The awards celebrate and recognize the vital contributions made by women-owned and led businesses to the global economy, aiming to unlock their boundless potential and drive inclusive prosperity.

Amnah Ajmal, executive vice president for market development in EEMEA for Mastercard, emphasized the importance of acknowledging and celebrating the remarkable contributions of women entrepreneurs and leaders.

“Women-owned and led businesses are vital contributors to the global economy, fostering economic growth and stability,” said Ajmal.

The winners will be announced on 6 June during an in-person event in Dubai, UAE. This event underscores Mastercard's commitment to fostering connections and collaboration among women business leaders in the region.

The awards feature 15 categories, ranging from creative leadership to social impact, including the prestigious lifetime achievement award. A distinguished judging committee of industry leaders will evaluate the shortlisted candidates, dedicated to recognizing excellence and innovation in women-owned and led businesses.

The awards align with Mastercard's global initiative to connect 25 million women entrepreneurs to the digital economy by 2025.
