Dror Or, 49, is the latest captive to have been confirmed dead by Israel, nearly seven months into Israel's war on Gaza.
The captive's death comes as the Israeli government has been coming under increasing pressure for its military tactics in Gaza, which involves carpet bombing the territory killing thousands of Palestinian civilians, among them Israeli captives.
Or was killed and his body held in Gaza since October 7, the Beeri settlement said, noting that his wife was killed in the events on October 7.
Two of their three children were captured and then freed in November as part of a ceasefire and prisoners swap deal between Israel and Hamas.
They did not say how they learned of Or's death.
Israel estimates that 129 captives remain in Gaza. The occupation army says 35 of them are dead.
The Israeli death was announced as mediators Qatar, the United States and Egypt await Hamas's response to a new proposal for a ceasefire and captive release.
Israel has killed at least 34,596 people in Gaza, and wounded more than 77,000, mostly women and children, since October 7.
